Jonte has been chosen out of hundreds of photos to be on the International Edition Large Calendar for German Shorthaired Pointer for August 2020 by Browntrout! My first Vizsla many years ago was also on their large calendar too so following in his paw steps!
Below at 6 months old took Jonte to a big shooting estate in the Scottish Borders where I used to work my Vizslas. Despite being untrained and never even retrieved a dummy etc, the Gamekeeper was amazed at how steady he was on point not even moving when a rabbit was right under his nose so was unable to be shot but then went on steady point to many pheasants walking around him in woods, whereby one was shot he stood frozen then on command retrieved a warm, floppy pheasant back to hand!! Also did a blind retrieve and then for the first time a perfect water retrieve too – not used to water!! We were both totally astonished but does come from good working lines! Will make a superb all round working gundog!!

RIEVERS BARON VON AUTUMNGLORY – DOB 31ST MARCH 2018
Jonte is a Liver/White Ticked and Spotted German Shorthaired Pointer Puppy now at 4 months.. He has a superb gentle loving nature and very well behaved too so like my Kristo who was sadly put to sleep the day Jonte and his litter were conceived! He is a stunning with his markings and will be shown/worked in the future and will add fresh new breeding into the Autumnglory Line too!
Jonte has good original Working German Lines many FT CHs of Birkenwald and also Deepthatch too! No health issues in past relations and all have good low hip scores. Jonte was DNA Tested for JEB a skin disease causing blistering – a new test from Laboklin as carried by GSPs and also for Von Willebrand Type II for both Shorthaired/Wirehaired German Pointers. Both tests came back N/N CLEAR – carrying NO GENES! Has been like my past Vizslas DNA Profiled and will be Hip Scored etc when old enough! He is only 1% INBRED well below the average CoEfficieny!
Delighted that Jonte’s DNA Tests for both Von Willerbrand Disease Type II and JEB (Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa) performed by LABOKLIN have came back N/N CLEAR. These were expensive new tests for GSPs so not carrying these genes!!
